    The Director, Government Relations and Stakeholder Engagement for the Senate (official title:
    Director I, Government Relations) will advocate for SHEIN in a fast-paced environment.

    Based in Washington, DC, this position will be a key player in developing and implementing SHEIN's government relations and public policy strategies to advance the company's long-term business interests.

    This role will work cross-functionally throughout the company and manage a portfolio of key issues. The ideal candidate is willing to travel and has a passion for the next generation of retail.

    Represent SHEIN before elected officials, government agencies and regulatory bodies, addressing issues from taxes, supply chain, labor, and trade
    Create, grow, participate in, and maintain diverse coalitions in support of policy issues and business priorities

    This role will work collaboratively with relevant internal business, public relations, community and legal teams to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy goals.

    Build, cultivate, maintain, and engage trusted relationships on behalf of SHEIN directly with key officials including Senators, Representatives, and officials working in the executive branch and independent agencies
    Maintain a comprehensive understanding of legislation, emerging issues, and industry trends, ensuring the Executive Chairman, Vice Chairman, Chief Government Affairs Officer and relevant stakeholders throughout the company are informed with updates and analyses of the significance, relevance, and business impact of these developments
    Monitor, track and analyze proposed legislation and administrative actions, assess the potential impact on the company and formulate appropriate responses
    Draft policy communications on key legislative and regulatory issues, including executive briefing memos, white papers, presentations, and comment letters
    Create internal newsletters and reports to showcase work of government relations team and ensure internal alignment
    Present key information about SHEIN and the government relations process to external and internal stakeholders
    Develop and deploy grassroots lobbying tactics to support SHEIN's public policy objectives
    Leverage national and local organizations to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and deepen policymaker understanding of SHEIN's benefit to customers and economies
    Develop and implement strategies (sometimes traditional, sometimes out of the box) to advocate for SHEIN policies
    Manage external consultants
    Support ad-hoc projects, as needed

    Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/decision-making skills, and political acumen
    Ability be both a substantive issue expert on policy matters related to SHEIN's business and explain complex issues clearly and quickly for all to understand
    Develop creative, non-traditional solutions to legislative and regulatory problems
    Management experience of outside consultants, but also ability to handle issues themselves with no assistance other than moral support
