Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced person to join our team in a multi-faceted role. This position will play a critical role in managing our financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, and providing support to staff and ownership as needed to maintain a smooth running machine

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into business performance.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business planning and decision making.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
• Provide reports and recommendations to management to support planning and business growth.
• Develop and implement accounting and HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and promote a positive work environment.
• Manage compensation and benefits programs, paid time off, and payroll processing.
• Assist with HR-related tasks, such as new employee onboarding, benefits administration, insurance and maintaining employee records.

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Full-charge bookkeeper, accounting, or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of construction accounting practices and regulations is a plus.
