Job Description
An aerospace client of Insight Global is looking for a Director of Engineering to join their growing company. The Director of Engineering will be responsible for all aspects of engineering to ensure all products are engineered correctly and efficiently before they are placed into production on the manufacturing floor. This includes the design, development, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of aerospace systems. They will have a team of 4 or 5 individuals reporting to them, all of which have a part in the design and review of packages, coding, programming, operation sheets, tooling, routers, etc. In addition to interfacing with team members, the Director of Engineering will also be responsible for working with the estimating group, facilitating work with the operations group, and interfacing with clients. The Director must be a strategic thinker, problem-solver, high energy, and willing to be hands on with the production team. This individual will be required to work standard hours Monday-Friday, with the responsibility of ensuring all work is completed outside of standard hours, if necessary.
