CSAis currently seeking an experienced IT Quality Assurance Director to lead our quality assurance team in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in Norfolk, VA.
The successful candidate should be capable of planning and directing the policies, programs, and initiatives used to monitor and measure the overall quality of IT Services, systems, and software.
The candidate should rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while independently performing a wide variety of complicated tasks.
This position is contingent upon award.Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies and frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions and services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality metrics, standards, and processes aligned with industry best practices and government regulations
Lead the planning, execution, and management of quality assurance activities throughout the software development life cycle
Conduct audits and inspections to evaluate adherence to quality standards, identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective actions
Define and track key quality indicators, metrics, and performance goals to measure and report on the effectiveness of quality assurance initiatives
Provide guidance and expertise to development teams on quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their quality expectations and ensure they are met or exceeded
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in quality assurance, recommending and implementing innovative practices and tools
Qualifications:
Minimum 12 years of experience in the field or in a related area within DoD/Navy programs
Minimum 5 years of managerial experience
Proven track record of successfully defining and implementing quality assurance strategies and frameworks
Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, standards, and best practices.
In-depth understanding of software development life cycle processes and methodologies
Experience in conducting audits, inspections, and assessments of software systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality gaps and risks
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
Must meet IAT (Information Assurance Technical) Level II certification criteria specified in DoD M

Bachelor's degree
Experience supporting NAVSEA clients
First-hand experience with Naval shipyard and/or Naval maintenance facilities
