Participate in delivering an exceptional customer experience by establishing relationships through proactive outreach and suggesting suitable products, services, and digital solutions to help customers achieve financial success
Assist customers with basic tasks such as opening new accounts, fulfilling service requests, and submitting credit applications
Follow guidance from managers and exercise judgment within established policies and procedures
Acquire knowledge of bank products and services to address customers' requirements
Engage with customers to show care and foster relationships
Present suitable options for bank products and services to customers
Refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners when necessary
This SAFE position involves customer interaction and responsibilities including offering/negotiating terms or processing applications for dwelling secured transactions. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations is mandatory for this role. Continuation of employment is subject to meeting all these requirements, including satisfactory background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE position must also fulfill the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) as outlined in the job expectations
Experience of 6+ months interacting with customers, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Strong customer service focus with a background in handling complex transactions across multiple systems
Experience in proactively engaging with customers through phone or email outreach
Capability to educate customers about technology and highlight the benefits of mobile banking options
Ability to facilitate customers' financial success by introducing them to additional team members as needed
Proficiency in collaborating with a team to meet customer needs
Compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
Identification of potential fraud/risky accounts and taking appropriate preventive actions
Interacting with integrity and professionalism with customers and colleagues
Relevant military experience encompassing working with military protocol, enlisted evaluations, officer/leadership reporting, and personnel benefits management
Proficient in proactively establishing, acquiring, nurturing, and sustaining relationships with customers and colleagues
Assisting customers and employees in addressing or escalating concerns or complaints
Availability to work weekends and holidays as required or scheduled
Management of cash drawer, cash handling, balancing, and allocation of time for service-related duties as necessary
This role mandates SAFE registration upon employment. Wells Fargo will commence the SAFE registration process promptly after your start date. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) website provides the MU4R questions and the registration essential for this role. Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau requirements and adhere to Wells Fargo policies. LO qualification prerequisites comprise meeting relevant financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be utilized for assessing financial responsibility and credit fitness, though the credit score is not a part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must meet continuous regulatory requirements and undergo additional screening if necessary
