The various software solutions of the proALPHA Group and its more than 290 partners support customers in precisely those areas that are of central importance to their business.

    Responsibilities

    As a member of our team (fulltime) at our location in Nashua, NH, United States, you will program innovative and tailor-made customer solutions in proALPHA. You will also be directly involved in the development of our applications. We value close collaboration with our colleagues, while also providing you with ample opportunity to utilize your expertise to assist in the deployment of our ERP solution, proALPHA.

    • Programming: Based on customer needs and specifications from the consulting team, you will independently program extensions and modifications for our customers.
    • Development: You will design, develop, and test the new software applications and functions.
    • Working in a team: You regularly coordinate with our consultants on the ERP rollout at our customers. You will also train new junior colleagues by involving them in projects and preparing preliminary specifications.
    • Customer contact: You will have the opportunity to take over the technical concepts in direct contact with the end customer.

    Requirements

    • Education: Completed training or studies with a focus on computer science.
    • Professional experience: At least two (2) years of prior experience in an IT consultant role focusing on software development. Experience working within the manufacturing and trade industries. Experience identifying and gathering customer requirements and translating those requirements into technical specifications to implement IT solutions.
    • Specialist knowledge: You have good knowledge of at least one modern program-ming language / development environment (e.g. C#, C++, Java, Progress-ABL or similar) as well as experience with relational database systems. Ideally, you also have knowledge of software development processes and software architecture.
    • Personality: You enjoy learning new things and show initiative. You also like to engage in professional exchange with your team colleagues and our customers' project part-ners.
    • Language: Very good English language skills are a must. German would be an ad-vantage.
