    Description


    As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for orchestrating truck transportation for both inbound and outbound shipments, utilizing a full truckload approach.

    Your goal will be to optimize delivery by selecting the best carriers based on cost, service quality, and availability.

    This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining excellent communication with our carrier network and ensuring transparency of shipment information throughout its journey.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Strategically assign loads to carriers using our advanced web-based Transportation Management System.
    Schedule and confirm pickup times to align with customer expectations.
    Ensure timely pickup and delivery of all shipments, maintaining communication with customers and internal teams to meet dynamic needs.
    Generate daily shipment reports detailing volumes and addressing any shipment discrepancies.
    Skillfully negotiate spot rates and prepare rate confirmations.
    Conduct daily freight rate audits and actively participate in cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery.
    Manage carrier claims and oversee the collections process.
    Additional responsibilities as needed to support the logistics department.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    2 to 3 years of experience in dispatching
    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    Demonstrated ability to solve problems effectively and analyze data.
    Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment and working collaboratively with various teams.
    High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and urgency.
    Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Essential Functions:
    Effective decision-making and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude under pressure.
    Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, continual use of office equipment, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

    Valid driver's license required, with occasional travel by plane or automobile.
