Job summary

This is a loan processing position that involves clerical work for loans and opening new credit union memberships the member greets as they enter the lobby in an outgoing courteous manner prepares loans for Loan Officer inputs applicant information runs credit reports prints ques and pulls up NADA value books loans ensures proper disbursement of proceeds sets-up direct deposit allocations for loan payments processes loans on computer updates loan data answers phone inquiries regarding loans NADA values and calls to Loan Officer Branch Manager forward approved loans to Quality Control denied loans to Loan Committee cross-sells every product service as needed reviews membership applications for approval opens and provides information on all credit union account types assists members with direct deposits IRAs CDs check orders address changes automatic transfer wire transfers and other financial needs instructs members on proper use of Audio Response System Home Banking Bill Payer plastic services ATM Check Card Gift Cards Moneyline transfers prints reviews member statements or account histories counsels' members regarding activity of their accounts makes correction to accounts as needed alerts warnings of fraud detects avoids possible fraudulent activity assists with various branch duties adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies procedures performs other related duties assigned experience in loan member service department preferred high school diploma equivalent some college preferred competent computer skills standard office equipment ability meet speak deal effectively people professional appearance maintain neat professional appearance identified physical requirements include ability operate normal office equipment some lifting not exceed 25 pounds ability follow core values Team-Focused Excellence Authenticity Leading Innovation probationary period 90 days

• Experience in the loan and/or member service department of a credit union or equivalent experience with similar financial institutions.
• High school diploma or the equivalent, with some college preferred.
