    Job Summary

    The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in delivering resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide physical and psychological support to residents, adhering to age-appropriate care plans.
    • Deliver basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and vital sign monitoring.
    • Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking using correct techniques and equipment.
    • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary needs.
    • Communicate changes in resident condition and care concerns to the charge nurse.

    Requirements

    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
    • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
    • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.
