    SSCI is looking to fill a

    Space Network Software Engineer

    position for software projects relating to autonomous space systems.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Help build the next generation of satellite mesh networking, and multi-domain air-space-sea networks for constellation-scale operations.
    Lead networking software development, implementation, testing and support for flight programs – actual networking, on actual autonomous spacecraft.
    Work as part of a team to design, implement, and test networking solutions algorithms for satellites in constellation/cluster/RPO/single-vehicle missions.

    Required Skills/Experience:
    BS Degree in Electrical Engineering/Communications/Computer Science or similar field
    6+ years' experience in R&D of Space networks and software
    Experience with IDE-based object-oriented programming in C/C++ in Linux environment.
    Experience with satellite access technologies and earth station components.
    Experience with antennas, modems, Software Defined Radios (SDR) and associated networking equipment used in satellite and wireless communications
    Experience with networking fundamentals of routing, switching, firewalling, and encryption.
    Experience working with the full OSI/ISO model stack.
    Experience with networking tools and technologies such as YANG, Netconf, NEBULA, CCSDS, CFTP.
    Experience with ad-hoc mesh networks (MANET) algorithms, implementations, and simulators.
    Experience with RF and Optical networking features, considerations, and state of the art.
