    Venture Tools is a family-owned business established in 1989 that is looking for talented members to join our team as we grow We are looking for qualified machinists to program and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes. Come grow with us as we expand to meet our customers' needs.

    Position Description:

    CNC Machinist and Programmer

    Shift: 10 hr shifts, normal working hours are Mon-Thu 6:00am-4:30pm

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Machinist/Programmer:

    • Adheres to all safety and work policies.
    • Applies best practices to produce high quality components to customer specifications.
    • Set-up and operate CNC Turning Centers (Haas and Mazak) and CNC Milling Centers (Fadal, Haas, and Fryer).
    • Program mills and lathes using G and M code and conversational methods, assembles tooling packages, and performs part inspection to validate programs.
    • Plan and execute work orders, must be proficient in blueprint reading, manufacturing best practices, and tolerances (GD&T).
    • Effectively use and maintain precision inspection tools
    • Perform preventative maintenance on machine tools and maintains a clean and orderly workspace
    • Work efficiently and with dedication to complete work orders in a timely manner with minimal oversight.
    • Contribute to a positive team-oriented environment.
    • Other duties as required.

    Job Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience programming and operating CNC mills or lathes in a job shop environment. CAD/CAM experience is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T.
    • The ability to work effectively from a variety of customer definition formats, including sketches, drawings, and digital model formats.
    • Knowledgeable and effective with inspection tools and techniques, including height gage, calipers, micrometers (ID and OD). On-machine probing a plus.
    • Proficient in intermediate mathematics and trigonometry.
    • Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs safely.
    • Positive attitude and self-motivated
