• DayJob Description SCOPE OF POSITIONThe Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse RN who is accountablefor the staffing, patient flow and coordination of patient careactivities among the hospital departments during his/her shift.

TheNursing Supervisor supports the delivery of Patient-Centered Care andserves as a role model for customer service and professional behaviorsand communication.

The Nursing Supervisor ensures that staffing levelsare maintained to promote productivity and patient safety and makesfrequent rounds to monitor staff workload and resolve patient careissues.

The Nursing Supervisor is the point person for patient flowand must appropriately prioritize and communicate patient bed placementplans, working collaboratively with physicians, nursing departments,admitting and housekeeping.

The Nursing Supervisor demonstratesexcellent critical thinking skills and assists in problem-solvingpatient care issues and responds to patient complaints during his/hershift.

The Nursing Supervisor is also expected to have a workingunderstanding of HR policy and assists in identifying employee behaviorissues as well as handling employee exposures and injuries duringhis/her shift.
