    Description
    LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Control Engineer for their manufacturing client located in West Michigan.

    The role involves the design and development of automated control solutions, with a specialization in custom automation, PLCs, HMIs, and robotics.

    Responsibilities:


    Analyze project requirements and conduct technical calculations to support design, including electrical controls, motors, pneumatics, and adherence to safety standards.

    Assist in the design of customized electrical solutions, focusing on manufacturing automation and safety systems.
    Develop programs that are easily testable, well-documented, and adaptable.
    Generate engineering documentation to aid sales, product design, and manufacturing efforts, encompassing assemblies, specifications, wiring diagrams, and support manuals.
    Oversee the design, installation, and testing of electrical equipment and the integration of automation systems.

    Collaborate with production to provide detailed drawings, bills of materials, and routings to ensure on-time delivery of custom conveyor controls.

    Offer hands-on mechanical support as necessary in R&D and manufacturing departments.
    Liaise with external suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure successful implementation.
    Provide technical assistance and field support to the sales department.


    Qualifications:
    Certificate in Electrical Technologies or equivalent work experience.
    Familiarity with basic ladder logic programming.
    Knowledge of structured text programming and industrial networking is advantageous.
    Proficiency in programming PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servos.
    Proficient operation of Autodesk AutoCAD (2D) and AutoCAD Electrical software.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor.
    Self-directed with strong organizational skills.
    Commitment to quality control and accuracy.
    Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight stays during the week.
