Job Summary:
+ Provides pharmaceutical care to patients, verifies medication orders, compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and hospital policy.
Serves as a resource to other healthcare professionals including pharmacy students and residents and ensures that patient care meets standards of safety and effectiveness.
Oversees the duties of the pharmacy technicians- Ensures safety and appropriateness of medication therapy through order verification
- Documents medication related plans
