- Process payroll for employees on a regular basis, including data entry, calculation of wages, and deductions
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure that all payroll information is up to date
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data and proper documentation
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
- Prepare payroll reports for management as needed
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to payroll processing
- Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions in the general ledger
- Utilize payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, Paychex) to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Strong knowledge of payroll management principles and practices
- Proficient in data entry and 10key typing skills
- Familiarity with benefits administration processes
- Knowledge of corporate accounting principles

A non-profit healthcare organization is seeking to hire a Payroll & Benefits Specialist. In this seat, you will be responsible for processing payroll for about 250 employees using ADP Workforce Now.Ideally, looking for a candidate who has worked at a smaller company where they were the ones processing payroll on a biweekly basis.
Union experience is nice to have, but not required.The right person for this position has used ADP Workforce Now, has 3+ years of payroll experience (ideally in a standalone capacity), and has related industry experience.
