    Description


    PurposeThe Marketing Director, Customer Engagement & Loyalty is responsible for developing the strategy and overall structure and support of Save A Lots new customer engagement platform.

    The Director must drive shopper loyalty through customer segmentation, personalization and lifecycle management. This includes collaborating with vendors on coupon and targeting strategies, test-and-learn programs as well as omnichannel engagement.

    This is an opportunity to build and shape Save A Lots approach to customer loyalty to drive acquisition and retention.

    The Director will partner cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to Marketing, IT, Merchandising, Finance and Retail Operations.

    This position will leverage data to gain insights to focus on optimizing the program, identify opportunities for growth and creating a roadmap for the future.

    The Director is responsible for the overall success of the program and must be able to present actionable recommendations to the leadership team as well as to Save A Lots Retail Partners.

    This role is intended to be based in the St. Louis, MO region and we offer a relocation benefit.

    ResponsibilitiesDevelop overall strategy and lead development for Save A Lots new customer engagement and loyalty platform, to include an app and website buildShowcase solid project management abilities to launch a new customer engagement and loyalty program, including collaboration with selected third-party vendorsManage all third-party relationships within the loyalty and personalization functions and help to identify new strategic partners for continued successDevelop annual marketing plan to engage customers and drive sales and traffic into storesResponsible for reviewing and reporting on results, and taking action to optimize the planDevelop and follow clear roadmaps and execute on those plansLead organizational change while coaching, mentoring, and developing team members on all aspects related to customer engagement and loyaltyProvide actionable insights to Save A Lots Retail Partners, to drive improvements to their businessOversee daily operations of the programPartner with Field Marketing, Creative, and Communications to develop compelling messaging and activations to promote the program and clearly articulate the benefits of the programLead the Marketing & Merchandising teams through organizational transformation and be a champion for changeAbout YouBachelor's degree in marketing or business5-7 years of experience building and growing loyalty programs and CRM systems, with wholesale/licensed experience requiredProficient in Microsoft applications including Excel and PowerPointPossess deep knowledge and experience in customer loyalty and marketing, combined with a passion for developing and executing strategies to increase customer retention and engagementExtensive cross-functional retail knowledge with proven experience building and implementing strategies, products, and programs to grow membershipExperience leading teams or managing projects within a complex program with multiple cross-functional stakeholdersMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to work independently and collaborativelyDemonstrated ability to own and grow a program from top down; building strategy, formulating marketing plans, manage project executions, analyzing results and managing on-going optimizationsExcellent communication skills at all levels of managementAbility to build bridges and alliances with business partners managing expectations and adeptly communicating strategies and tactics throughout the companyDemonstrated experience using analytics to make fact-based decisions that improve the effectiveness and the efficiencies of all marketing activitiesSense of urgency to activate strategic ideas and action plans quickly and decisivelyAbility to shift seamlessly between operating strategically and leading day-to-day tactical executionPhysical RequirementsAbility to travel up to ~15% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as neededMost work is performed in a temperature-controlled environmentIncumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminalIncumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of a normal workdayStooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job dutiesOur ValuesAbility to demonstrate , understand and apply our workplace values.
