    Judson Group has been retained by a privately-held RIA with $1.5B in AUM in the search for a Director of Operations Wealth Management. The firm serves HNW/UHNW individuals as well as institutions as a full-service wealth manager with a number of private fund offerings in-house.

    The firm is looking for someone with prior investment/client service operations experience in an RIA that can be a player/coach in oversight of a small operations team. The Director will have oversight of overall operations with direct responsibility for the firms reporting and CRM systems/processes. Prior experience managing and developing a team is highly valued.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for oversight of Operations Manager handling day-to day client operations functions including onboarding, maintenance, billing, reporting, trading operations, and all other client service/operations functions
    • Ensure client service/operations teams are appropriately staffed, trained and performing at the highest level
    • Collaborate with members of senior management to review workflows and the tech stack to optimize the overall operational workflows and processes of the firm
    • Act as the senior liaison on our custodial relationships (Schwab, Fidelity) and serve as the escalation point on client issues, transaction requests, and account opening & closing, among other activities
    • Represent the Operations function during senior management meetings
    • Support senior management in driving strategic initiatives, including client segmentation and service model refinement to support the growth of the firm in its key business lines
    • Work with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure critical procedures are adhered to, and information security policies are robust

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of five years of experience within an RIA; minimum of three years of management/leadership experience
    • Deep understanding of custodial offerings and their associated web interfaces (Schwab, Fidelity, etc.)
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Experience working with CRM and performance reporting applications (Salesforce and Addepar experience a plus). Understanding of custodial trading tools and financial planning software
    • Proven ability to implement and manage operational workflows for maximum efficiency and team productivity
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact up, down, and across the organization

    Compensation:

    Significant base salary plus bonus opportunity. Firm pays 100% of employee health insurance premium, cell phone, and gym membership, in addition to other benefits.

    Location:

    San Francisco, California (financial district two days per week WFH)
