What skills can you bring to this team, whether it's an eye for design, a knack for fixing machinery, or maybe you just really love lifting heavy things (safely). Roadway & Customer Service

Sky Nursery's Customer Service/Roadway Crew members are known for their natural camaraderie and spirit of collaboration. We're looking for caring applicants who are committed to making gardening more accessible to members of our community: carrying items for customers, loading bags into vehicles, and providing general assistance across all departments. Thriving in all types of weather, Roadway crew members learn new things nearly every day and gain experience in multiple, interconnected areas of the greenhouse/nursery industry. This role is geared towards service-oriented, motivated, and flexible individuals who take initiative in making an impact across all departments and directly influence our customer's experience. Full-time positions available, applicants with weekend availability are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers by loading orders into their vehicle (bagged material, plants, tools, statuary) in all weather conditions on the roadway.
• Unload and process incoming plant and hardgoods material alongside multiple department staff members (Sky provides opportunities for lift equipment training/certified forklift operation).
• Assist in implementing department merchandising plans: setting up displays, and moving product
• Assist customers in finding desired items across departments, or locate appropriate staff to do so.
• Contribute to Sky Nursery's positive, clean, and safe work environment and culture

Qualifications:

• Solid communication skills with a friendly and professional attitude towards customers and team members
• Able to stand, bend, reach, kneel, and complete repetitive tasks during work shifts
• Able to repeatedly lift or move up to 90-100lbs of product throughout scheduled shifts
• Able to follow instructions; willing to learn and apply Sky's customer service approach
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining high quality work standards
• Responsible, flexible, and reliable
• Familiarity with using hand tools safely (Sky will provide additional training in maintenance procedures and additional safe tool use)

Hourly Wage Range: $19-25

Benefits Summary: Sky Nursery offers medical (including vision) and dental insurance for those working 30 hours or more after a 2-month period, and vacation pay and 401(k) matching retirement plan after 1 year of employment. Scheduling

As a retail business, weekend availability is essential. Full-time (35+ hrs) and part-time work is available.

Seasonal Work

Our busiest months are March - June. Many roles start as seasonal; a great step toward year-round employment.
