    PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:


    Provide leadership to Accounting team assuringtimely and accurate internal and external financial reports are generated and thatfinancial controls and reconciliations are performed on a consistentbasis.

    To act as knowledgeable financialresource to internal and external sources providing information and educationas appropriate.


    EDUCATION:
    Bachelors degree in financial field, MBApreferred


    EXPERIENCE:
    Four

    years of financial experiencein a health care or related setting

    ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:
    Preparationof annual operating and capital budget working in cooperation with programdirectors and executive leadership and facilitates loading of detailed budgetinformation into general ledger
    Preparationand analysis of monthly financial statements identifying and reportingvariances and trends
    Maintaininginsurance policies to protect assets of organization including managingrelationships with third parties, preparation of insurance applications andmaintaining appropriate records
    Coordinationof cost reporting required by third parties including grantors, Medicare andall other sources as appropriate
    Coordinationof information for yearly financial audit, annual pension audit and various taxreturns
    Oversightand maintenance of information in general ledger system, coordinating month endclosing operations with payroll and accounts receivable leadership
    Maintenanceand oversight of accounts payable function, expense reporting and generalledger maintenance including development and maintenance of chart of accounts
    Preparesanalysis and provides education as requested or needed by program directors andmanagers
    Preparesand maintains schedule of assets and depreciation
    Monitorscash position to assure that funds are available to cover operational needs
    Recruits,develops and maintains a competent and productive accounting team, creating awork environment that fosters teamwork and communication
