    Description

    Koloma is a geologic hydrogen company that leverages its technology, proprietary data, and human capital advantages to identify and commercialize these resources on a global scale. We are developing technologies that will enable the production of low cost, 24/7 available carbon-free hydrogen. Our team is led by seasoned energy executives and world-renowned technical thought leaders. We are looking for a talented Regional Landman to join us in our office in Denver, CO or Columbus, Ohio.

    Ideal Candidate Requirements:

    • 8-15 years of experience in the land profession with comprehensive understanding of negotiating, drafting, and administration of surface and subsurface agreements
    • Experience managing brokers and attorneys in transactional and title curative matters, including ordering operation-appropriate title reports and executing on title curative
    • Knowledgeable in Federal leasing, permitting and regulations, with good familiarity of BIA and BLM workings
    • Proficiency with land management databases, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel
    • Demonstrated adaptability, team-oriented disposition, and ability to work with a diverse group of energy professionals and stakeholders
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and prioritizing skills with drive for results
    • Experience with stakeholder engagement and negotiation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in Exploration and Production oil and gas teams or alternative energy industries, with an understanding of energy-industry financial drivers
    • Efficiently manage multiple projects with minimal supervision

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Manage leasing, title, permitting, and regulatory efforts in exploratory areas
    • Work within a multi-disciplinary team of energy professionals in planning and executing of drilling program, including securing agreement on drilling locations and guiding team on regulatory and compliance considerations
    • Establish, cultivate and maintain beneficial relationships with landowners, regulatory agencies, industry partners and other stakeholders
    • Design and assess methodology for expansion to new areas to determine optimal locations for operations, communicating potential risks and paths to success
    • Manage land brokers to negotiate leasing terms, including acceptable lease provisions, surface use acquisition, and operations pad placement, while coordinating with local officials and stakeholders
    • Educate local authorities and internal and external stakeholders on geologic hydrogen, drilling and testing operations, land ownership rights, leasing and exploration timelines through personal engagement, presentations, open houses and media
