    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg admissions unit position, requiring Level 1 trauma and EPIC experience.

    Responsibilities
    Work in a 15-bed Medical Surgical admissions unit in an acute care hospital setting
    Care for general Med/Surg patients awaiting transfer from the ER to other units
    Unit supports initial admissions and patient care until reassignment
    Unit operates as part of a Level 1 trauma center
    Nurse to patient ratio is 5:1 during days and 6:1 during nights
    Shifts are 12 hours or , rotating days and nights
    Every other weekend and every other holiday are required
    No call responsibilities
    Floating to other Med/Surg units as needed
    Uses EPIC EMR, Zebra phones, Omnicell for medications, and Aleris IV pumps
    Responsible for initial admissions and ongoing care for Med/Surg patients until reassignment
    New, fast-paced medical/surgical unit with all private rooms
    Orientation provided
    Navy blue scrubs required as dress code
    Candidates must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
    Local travel rate adjustments apply for candidates living 60-80 miles from the facility
    Disclosure of previous employment at any Sanford Health location is required for consideration

    Requirements
    Active ND or compact RN license
    Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg experience
    Level 1 trauma center experience required
    EPIC EMR experience is required
    Current BLS certification from AHA
    Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
