- Develops Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) programs. Responsible for the development of proven programs by using customer provided drawings, CAD models, CMM programs and company developed information to facilitate program launches and provide support to programs during production.
- Responsible to provide floor assistance to CMM operators (DCC and Manual Machines) in developing CMM programs for single feature inspections that do not require full-part CMM inspections. Responsible for assisting these operators with drawing interpretation and proper fixturing/setup to ensure that reliable inspections are performed and accurate data are obtained.
- Responsible for aiding machine operators on interpretation of CMM reports to drive proper machine adjustments and minimize scrap.Attends pre and post production meetings to discuss pertaining CMM issues.
- Provides CMM training to CMM and other machine operators in report analysis and CMM use/programming
- Responsible to operate CMM when staffing needs require it.
- Works overtime as required.
