Inova Oakville Ambulatory Surgery Center is currently hiring Full-time and PRN experienced Clinical Support Technicians. The ideal candidate would have completed a 6-week training course at Inova's Clinical Technician Academy or have strong experience from an acute-care setting.

ABOUT US:

The Inova Oakville Ambulatory Surgery Center, situated in the Potomac Yards area of Alexandria, is nearing completion in its construction phase. This cutting-edge facility will be a cornerstone of the newly established Inova medical campus, scheduled for inauguration in mid-2024.

Boasting state-of-the-art infrastructure, the center will feature three (3) Operating Rooms, (3) Procedure/GI Suites, and 12 PreOp/PACU bays, all geared towards delivering top-tier medical services to our community. The Oakville facility will also introduce the first DaVinci Robot in the Inova Outpatient Surgery arena.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Monday-Friday (5x8 or 4x10)
• Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Clinical Support Technician is responsible for assisting nursing staff across the PreOp, PACU and GI areas, with various tasks in providing efficiencies for daily operations of the Center. Tasks performed involve limited patient care as well as a variety of other duties:

• Possesses professional communication skills for effective sharing of information with patients, families, physicians and professional nursing staff
• Provides assistance with continuous patient flow throughout all stages of patients' surgical process
• Assists with direct patient care to include application of monitoring equipment, IV removal, retrieving nourishment and discharge preparation process under supervision and instruction of staff Registered Nurse
• Monitors and supplies pre-operative areas with OR attire, linens and other items required for patient care
• Orders and stocks supplies needed for OR, GI, Pre-Op, PACU departments
• Transportation of patients for discharge
• Computer entry of patient data
• Intermittent physical mobility/activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, pulling and pushing of carts, equipment, etc. Must be able to bend body downward at the waist; be able to kneel
• Frequently able to lift/carry 25 pounds or more

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• One or more years of strong Clinical Support Tech, CNA, PCT, or PCA experience desired
• Previous work experience in an acute-care facility or ambulatory surgery center preferred
• Completion of a formal Clinical Technician Academy Training in the acute setting is highly desired
• CNA certification highly desired
• High school graduate or equivalent
• BLS certification required
