    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented assistant in New York to support the Head of our Books & Media Rights Department. They work with and represent filmmakers, screenwriters, digital creators, authors, actors, journalists, producers, literary estates, podcasts, etc. You must have 1+ years of experience supporting a busy executive on a desk in an administrative function with strong writing skills. This position requires a high level of organization and is extremely fast paced.

    Please note: the position is on-site in our NYC office, 5 days/week.

    QUALIFICATIONS:


    • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.


    • Positive attitude, highly organized, and ability to work well under pressure.


    • Desire to pursue a career as an agent. General knowledge of industry players.


    • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.


    • An avid, critical reader with a strong interest in film, TV, books and literary packaging.


    • High level of initiative and capable of managing one's time and multiple projects simultaneously.


    • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.


    • This position will require overtime.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Administrative support including heavy volume of phone management, calendar management, expense reports, and travel arrangements.


    • Client management including processing payments, tracking contracts, and scheduling appointments.


    • Drafting correspondences, sending submissions, and tracking incoming/outgoing material.


    • Interfacing with clients, managers, film producers, and studio executives in a professional manner.


    • High volume of reading and critically evaluating material.

    Pay Rate: $20 Hour + Full time Benefits
