    3 months contract with possible extension

    REMOTE

    Job Description:

    As part of an elite, Accelerated Value Program for large, multinational Corporations - perform and enable remote technical support of a data migration project:


    • Assist in planning and assessment of migration strategy: data extraction, transformation and loading processes.


    • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate/verify data preparation.


    • Create Cobol CICS code to retrieve and extract data from IDMS and load into DB2.


    • Write, test, debug code.


    • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and other meetings as needed.


    • Testing and Validation of final migration.


    • Post migration support.

    Required skills, Minimum of 8 years:


    • Writing Cobol programs for CICS/DB2 data migration


    • Experience with IBM OS/JCL (MVS) and IBM/DB2


    • Experience in extracting and documenting business rules from COBOL/CICS programs.


    • Hands-on experience - COBOL/CICS/DB2 Coding, testing & Debugging.


    • IBM OS/JCL (MVS)


    • DB2 stored procedures.


    • Experience in Usability Testing (participate with the users in the system testing of programs)


    • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both written and oral with technical and non-technical personnel.
