    Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

    Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, a nationally ranked pediatric care facility, is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

    About the Role:

    As a Respiratory Therapist at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of various ages. Your scientific knowledge and therapy skills will be applied to practical clinical problems, making you an integral part of our healthcare team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate patient respiratory needs and make recommendations for treatment.
    • Perform advanced evaluations, management, and therapeutic procedures for patients requiring respiratory assistance.
    • Document patient information accurately and timely, in accordance with department and legal standards.
    • Facilitate smooth transitions for patients to referral services or home, providing education on respiratory issues.
    • Instruct and train other staff members on patient needs and respiratory care services.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's degree preferred)
    • 2 years of experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine, or equivalent clinical education
    • CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care
    • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association
    • LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan
    • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association
