    Description

    Summary



    This position is located in the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO), Division of Information Technology (DIT), Deputy CIO for Management (DCIO-M), Policy, Audits, Compliance and Risk Section (PACRS). PACRS coordinates activities related to policy, audit, compliance, risk, and manages the Section 508 Program. This position will serve as a Section 508 Program Specialist within PACRS.



    Duties


    At the full performance level, major duties include:

    Ensures that the FDIC policies, plans, test strategies, implementations and reporting mechanisms remain current.

    Advises with policy guidance and clarifies policy documents for IT management, staff, and customers.

    Provides consultation and advice on development and implementation of accessibility and accessibility remediation plans.

    Develops strategies, guidance and tools to advance the overall Section 508 program (e.g., to include risk analyses, validation of applications, and certification of testers and test programs).

    Conducts Section 508 onsite and/or virtual training and awareness campaigns.

    Analyzes collected data and findings and interprets the findings to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and to prepare intricate, substantive reports.

    Reviews operational and technical accessibility aspects associated with specific systems to determine vulnerability and impact of non-compliance.

    Reviews Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-related technical aspects of procurement and development proposals to determine whether executive, statutory, regulatory and FDIC accessibility requirements are effectively met.
