Capital One is on the lookout for a talented Senior Lead Enterprise Architect to take charge, oversee, guide, and establish a highly skilled architecture team focused on innovating and introducing new capabilities in the monitoring and observability domain.

This role at Capital One involves being part of the Observability Intelligence group, concentrating on steering teams, setting the strategy, and defining the target state architecture for resiliency, observability engineering, and monitoring distributed systems across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

Drive Network Observability solutions architecture design for multi-platform solutions
Conduct trade-off and impact analysis for challenging technical decisions, and resolve technical conflicts
Demonstrate thought leadership and strategic vision in collaboration with delivery and product partners
Present solutions in Architecture Review Boards and various discussions related to products, platforms, and architecture
Act as the main architecture contact point for other architecture and delivery teams for solutions and systems
Keep pace with evolving technology requirements

Possess a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for Architecture, Software Engineering, Technology, and Customer Experience
Display intellectual curiosity and a desire to acquire and retain new business, technology, and architecture skills

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Software Engineering and Systems Architecture or Technology Solution design
At least 2 years of experience in creating solutions architectures in a public cloud environment (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology
Over 4 years of people management experience
More than 9 years of experience in software engineering
Over 7 years of experience as a Solutions Architect in large organizations
Extensive experience in architecting scalable and decoupled systems in a regulated technology landscape
Experience collaborating with internal and external business clients
Significant experience with AWS concepts and implementations
Proficiency in engaging, influencing, and driving initiatives by partnering with technology executives
Background in mentoring software engineers or architects
Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, Privacy, etc.)
Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels with the necessary technical depth and breadth
AWS or equivalent certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solution Architect-Associate, GCP, or Azure)
