    Description Milwaukee Area Technical College seeks a highly qualified individual to sell customized training to area business and industry in a fast-paced environment.

    The successful candidate will coordinate the delivery of leading-edge training as well as provide business and technical solutions to a wide range of industry partners.

    This position also requires inside & outside sales which include sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and email marketing campaigns.

    Learn more about MATC at Characteristic Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Director of Workforce Solutions, this individual is responsible for presenting, promoting and selling customized training and workshops/seminars to existing and prospective customers.


    Characteristics, Duties & Responsibilities:
    Researches potential accounts, identifies key decision makers and generates interest in the college's customized training offerings. Maintains and expands the database of prospects within the college's service area.

    Develops effective partnerships with business and industry in the identification of training needs, including conducting quantitative and qualitative assessments, developing customized workforce solutions, and aligning work with key performance metrics (e.g., revenue, profit/loss ratios, sector ratios, number of trainees, net new clients etc.).

    Meets agreed upon financial sales targets and outcomes.

    Develops and manages structured account management processes focused on building long-term relationships and uses strategies to generate higher and sustained sales from new and existing customers.

    Conducts face-to-face sales meetings demonstrating effective selling techniques, including pre-call planning, effective opening, presentation focus, productive questioning and consistent closure of new business.

    Assesses and identifies ongoing demands/needs of area businesses to plan, promote and sell customized training and continuing education courses. Develops education and training agreements, contracts, and proposals. Creates new methods or strategies to help sales team reach monthly goals that increase revenue.

    Develops and grows a new client base, uses his/her proven business to business sales experience to close net new sales.

    Achieves revenue growth and meets department revenue target and budget. Creates and monitors the collection and processing of required customer relations management data. Performs cost-benefit and needs analyses of existing/potential customers. Creates solutions for customers in response to their specific needs. Prepares sales reports and materials and documents sales and prospecting activity and client data as required and requested. Supplies supervisor with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new services. Keeps abreast of best practices and promotional trends. Collaborates with the Workforce Solutions Team to ensure successful start and finish of continuing education courses, seminars, workshops. Develops marketing outreach for corporate education courses, seminars, and workshops. Publicizes and promotes training offerings through news releases, brochures, instructional materials, college website, and social media. Develops workforce development grant proposals in collaboration with businesses. Participates in the divisional, departmental, and staff meetings as required. Represents the college at WTCS and industry association meetings. Establishes and maintains working relationships with team, deans, associate deans, instructors and external customers. Continuously improves through feedback. Performs related duties as required or assigned. QualificationsCompliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirements, as well as all MATC policies and procedures.

    Required Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree is required (major coursework in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field is preferred); Three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience in business to business sales, customized training or service sales; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.


    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Demonstrated work experience as a successful sales representative in a fast-paced environment with key performance metrics. Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management System.
    Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both internal and external customers. Highly motivated and target driven. Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques used in sales, the sales cycle and pipeline management. Knowledge and understanding of business processes and upskilling a workforce. Demonstrated work experience in presenting at trade shows, client meetings and other networks as a representative of the organization. Demonstrated work experience in handling multiple projects, establishing priorities, time management, meeting deadlines and organizational skills. Experience in creating contractual agreements. Excellent knowledge of MS Office.

    Hours:
    This position is a 1.0 FTE or 40 hours per work week. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8am - 4:30pm. Position is eligible for hybrid/flexible work.


    Salary:


    Salary is listed to the midpoint of the salary range and is based on the 2023/2024 rates and are determined by years of experience credit and internal salary equity.

    Low Deductible PPO High Deductible PPO Upon selection, the coverage begins the first of the month following start date.

    You will have 30 days from your start date to enroll. MATC contributes a generous percentage towards medical insurance premium. Both medical plans include prescription drug coverage at no additional cost to employees.

    Employees are offered an option to enroll in a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) with the selection of the Low Deductible PPO plan.

    Employees are offered an option to enroll in a Health Savings Account (HSA) with the selection of the High Deductible PPO plan with employer contributions.

    Dental Insurance MATC offers a group dental plan through Delta Dental. Upon selection, the dental insurance plan coverage begins the first of the month following start date.

    Annual maximum per covered person is $2,500; plan covers preventive, routine, restoration, and has an orthodontic benefit for dependents up to age 19.Vision Insurance MATC offers a group vision plan through Superior Vision.

    Upon selection, the vision insurance plan coverage begins the first of the month following start date. Plan covers eye exam, frames, lenses and contact lenses.

    Group Life Insurance MATC offers group term life insurance benefits through Madison National Life Insurance Company effective the first of the month of start date and is fully paid for by the College.

    The amount of insurance is based upon the employee's annual earnings rounded to the higher $1, The benefit is doubled in the event of accidental death.

    Supplemental Life Insurance is also available at group rates for employees, spouses, and dependents to purchase.

    Long-Term Disability MATC offers long-term disability insurance through Madison National Life Company after 30 days of employment and is fully paid for by the College.

    Benefits provided are equal to 66 2/3% of base monthly earnings.

    Flexible Spending Accounts MATC offers two types of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): Health Care FSA Dependent Care FSA This type of benefit allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars per calendar year for a variety of medical, dental, and vision expenses (for a Health Care FSA) and for day care expenses for children under 13 or family members that are dependent on you for more than half their support (for a Dependent Care FSA) up to a maximum amount.

    Retirement Savings Regular full-time employees of MATC who are hired for greater than 12 months become members of the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS)'s pension system as of day one of employment.

    The College currently pays the full cost of the employer contribution (6.8%), and the employee pays the full part of the employee contribution of 6.8% of salary.

    There is a five year vesting period requirement in order to qualify for any employer contributions made on the employee's behalf.

    Contribution rates are subject to change annually as set by the State.

    In addition to the WRS pension account, employees may enroll in other optional retirement savings plan such as a 403(b) account or a 457 account on a pre-tax or post-tax basis.

    Sick Leave MATC offers employees a generous sick leave plan per year.

    Each employee may accumulate up to 165 days of full sick leave with an unlimited accumulation of half pay sick leave.

    Vacation MATC offers a vacation policy to employees for the purpose of rest and relaxation. Vacation is earned at a generous rate each year of employment. (Not available for Instructors)Paid & Flexible (Floating) Holidays MATC offers 12 paid holidays for non

    Tuition Benefits:
    Employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement and waiver after completing probationary period. Amount allowed per fiscal year is 18 credits at MATC or $1,400 at other accredited institutions.
