    GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
    The RF Test Technician will be responsible for the tuning, testing and troubleshooting of RF/Microwave amplifiers and integrated microwave assemblies (IMAs) in a clean room environment

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Perform tuning, testing and troubleshooting of RF/Microwave amplifiers to meet required specifications.
    • Understanding of basic RF and DC testing that is required in support of production hardware, including but not limited to Frequency, Gain, Gain Flatness, Noise Figure, Return Loss, P1dB Compression, second and third order intercept points, and DC Current
    • Ability to use and understand standard test equipment, including but not limited to network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, scalar analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and power meters.
    • Must possess good dexterity and be able to work under a microscope for extended lengths of time
    • Ability to analyze and document results for items tuned and/or tested
    • Work in a manufacturing environment and able to meet targets/goals
    • Able to understand and work from verbal instructions, test specs, wiring diagrams and schematics
    • Understand and follow all safety requirements, as well as ISO Procedures
    • Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
    • Work with engineering and quality teams to provide feedback on current production problems and improvement ideas
    • Other job duties as assigned

    • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one, if needed, is required.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent experience or training
    • 2+ years of related experience is required

    WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Shop floor environment / workbench or workstation.
    • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
    • Ability to perform repetitive motion
    • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs
