    College/Department Information

    The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nations largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCGs expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and Americas children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine and genomics. Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.

    Job Summary

    The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    As the Medical College of Georgia undertook an enormous curriculum change in 2020, the duties of faculty and staff have changed as well. This position will function as the liaison between the curriculum office and the registrar, which will continue to be tasked with creation and registration of all courses in the curriculum. This position is student facing and therefore will requires excellent customer service and teamwork and communication skills. Credit hour maintenance will also be critical and course management of all courses for all years will be an essential part of this position. This position will also provide support to our educational pathways: dual degree,curriculog, CIR, etc.

    Responsibilities

    The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Organization of proctors for NBME testing, scheduling exams, ordering exams, usage of vouchers, distributing score reports.
    • Liaison with the registrar's office for MCG curriculum (registering for all courses for all students inclusive of the clinical campuses, troubleshooting when changes occur).
    • Student engagement for electives, Step 1 and Step 2 responses, and other communication (VSLO, visiting student learning opportunities), global health elective coordinator).
    • Taking initiative-training other staff and providing support for faculty within curriculum (electives, program changes, new courses).
    • Clinical campus, program support.
    • Curriculum webpage support, security authority of systems access dual degree coordinator, policy committee member, and other duties.

    Required Qualifications

    Educational Requirements

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 4 years professional or administrative experience to include minimum of 2 years of educational program experience or similar experience; OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and 7 years professional or administrative experience to include minimum of 4 years of educational program experience or similar experience; OR High school diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized state or federal accredited organization and 10 years professional or administrative experience to include minimum of 6 years of educational program experience or similar experience.

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 4-year educational program or similar experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    ABILITIES

    Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational and verbal/written communication skills.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. Testing will be required to determine actual proficiency of office software and procedures. Additional testing will be conducted to determine advanced competency levels of writing abilities.

    Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records and make independent decisions.

    Shift/Salary/Benefits

    Shift: Days/M-F

    Pay Grade: 15

    Salary: Minimum $18.71/hour - $25.21/hour

    Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
