Job summary
This position will work with both the Nongame Wildlife Program and the Wildlife Health Lab to implement Montana's Pd/White-nose Syndrome (WNS) Surveillance efforts and North American Bat Monitoring Program (NABat). The technician will work with dozens of staff as well as private landowners to obtain access. Other tasks include assisting with mist netting efforts and maintaining supply and equipment inventories.Responsibilities
- Pd/WNS surveillance includes the capture, handling, identification, and sampling of bats across the state.
- The acoustic monitoring follows NABat protocols and involves the deployment of acoustic detectors at l 00+ sites across.
