Active markets for Basis include South Florida, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts New Jersey, New York, Boston, Los Angeles and select urban markets nationwide. In total, the sponsors have developed and managed over 13.5 million square feet of real estate assets including self-storage, industrial, retail, office and residential.     Responsibilities:

    As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance primarily in the area of commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, contract negotiation, and transactional work

    • drafting, and negotiating various commercial real estate agreements, including leases, purchase agreements, sale agreements, development agreements.
    • closing documents.
    • due diligence for real estate transactions, including title searches &review, zoning analysis & compliance, environmental assessments, property surveys and property inspections
    • legal research to providing legal analysis and advice on real estate development projects, including land use regulations, zoning laws, and permitting requirements. , regulations, and case law related to real estate transactions.
    • with the preparation and review of legal documents, including deeds, easements, licenses, and other real estate-related documents.
    • with internal teams, including development, leasing, and property management, to address legal issues and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
    • and overseeing outside counsel on real estate matters, including litigation, dispute resolution, and other legal proceedings.
    • abreast of changes in real estate laws and regulations and advising the company on potential impacts and compliance strategies.

    Qualifications:

    • Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
    • admitted to the Florida state bar and in good standing.
    • of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on commercial real estate transactions.
    • understanding of real estate law, including leasing, property acquisitions, and development.
    • drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.
    • to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • working in a commercial real estate company or law firm specializing in real estate law is preferred.
