    Cardiovascular Surgery opening in Dothan, AL


    Less than 100 miles to the Emerald Coast beaches of Florida Full time, permanent opening Hospital-employedSeeking an additional Cardiovascular Surgeon to join a well-established, hospital-employed practice.

    Responsibilities:
    Perform all aspects of cardiac and thoracic surgery, including CABG, minimally invasive lung and valve surgery, and comprehensive structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, etc.)

    Collaborate with a team of 2 board-certified surgeons and 2 physician assistants, sharing call at a ratio of 1:3 Lead and support a team of autonomous PAs who assist in the OR, perform vein harvesting, facilitate rounds, and see patients in the post-operative clinic Utilize state-of-the-art facilities, including 28 ORs with endovascular and open-heart suites and a daVinci robotic surgical system Work within the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute, a multidisciplinary clinic shared with interventional/EP cardiology and vascular surgery Maintain a strong referral base from cardiology and primary care sources Job Qualifications


    Board certification in Cardiovascular Surgery Active and unrestricted medical license in Alabama or eligibility for licensure Strong surgical skills and experience with the full spectrum of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and with patientsCommitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care.
