- Prepare various federal and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct research and analysis on a range of tax projects to support informed decision-making.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities, maintaining professional and effective communication.
- Assist in special projects as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and willingness to contribute to team goals.
- Stay updated with changes in tax law and compliance requirements, proactively adjusting strategies as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, with a Master's in Tax strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of prior public accounting experience or satisfactory internship referral preferred.
- Experience in preparing tax returns for businesses of all types is advantageous.
- CPA certification or candidacy, or enrolled agent status preferred, with CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in organizational skills, multitasking, and prioritization in a fast-paced setting.
- Creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and research skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment and diplomacy.
- Experience with Ultra Tax Software is a plus, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Quickbooks.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
