    The Financial Shared Services (FSS) organization was established as one of the key new operating model for AbbVie to provide accurate financial accounting and reporting for all business organizations.

    The accountant will have accounting responsibility for supporting Payroll, Travel and Expense, and other special projects. Successful candidates will have high performance track records and the ability to work with ambiguity.

    Execute Month-end close processes for US Payroll related accounting, including but not limited to actual posting for US exempt, non-exempt and expat populations, month-end accrual calculation, payroll taxes and banking activities.

    Coordinate with AbbVie HR/Payroll team to provide strong support to reconcile the AbbVie Workday Accounting records vs payroll payment processed by ADP.

    Partner with AbbVie HR/Payroll team to resolve issues identified with US Payroll, improve overall service quality, streamline the bi-weekly payroll reporting and verification process.

    Ensure alignment of accounting for Concur Travel & Expense (CTE). Provide Analysis, Annual Accrual and prepare account reconciliations.
    Build, update and maintain internal US FSS Consolidation files used to fulfill corporate requirements for Actuals and Planning.
    Supports key projects/initiatives and drives process improvements.

    This position also reviews data sources for accuracy and completeness, collaborates to ensure complete and accurate results and must comply with AbbVie policies and US GAAP.

    Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations, identify opportunities for process improvements and drive action plans for quality control.
    Provide financial and ac counting analysis involving complex transactions.
    Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
    CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required.
    Experience in Excel, SAP, Blackline and HFM preferred.
