Garden State Dental is growing and we're excited to be hiring a part-time Dental Hygienist for our office located in Newark, New Jersey 07105.

The Dental Hygienist position at Garden State Dental requires an active hygiene license in the state of New Jersey. Dental hygiene students graduating in May are welcome to apply. While local anesthesia certification is preferred, it is not mandatory. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.

Garden State Dental of Newark has been serving the Ironbound Newark area for 43 years. We have a very professional and friendly staff. Our work is top of the line and we guarantee patients satisfaction. We see patients starting at the age of four.

Our Newwark office is in a great location on Ferry Street in northern New Jersey just 9 miles outside of New York City.

In addition to ample parking, our location is convenient to shopping areas and restaurants.

Responsibilities

Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Active Hygiene license for the state of New Jersey
Strong verbal and written communication skills
