AVP - Operational Risk - Jersey City, United States - Phaxis LLC
Description
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain operational risk management frameworks and enterprise risk programs.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide feedback on policy updates associated with regulatory items requiring remediation.
Drive value proposition and implement best practices across various business lines.
Provide independent oversight and credible challenge to the first-line across all operational risk management activities.
Collaborate with business experts to facilitate risk control self-assessments (RCSAs) and create key risk indicators (KRIs) aligned with identified risks.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required, preferably in Business or related fields.
7+ years of experience in Risk & Credit, with a minimum of 5 years in a financial institution covering operational risk management components, including RCSA management and KRI/KPI development.
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to navigate challenging situations and negotiate at different levels within the organization.
Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools.
Base Salary - $110,000-$140,000 depending on experience
