Position Overview
Northern Nevada Hardwood Floors is seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate all client-facing operational functions of the business.
This is a critical office role at NNHF. The Operations Manager works hand-in-hand with the Managing Partner to manage active and future projects, maintain schedules, coordinate materials, and ensure clients receive clear, professional communication from start to finish. This role is fast-paced, highly empowered, and central to the success of our field teams.
Work Environment & Schedule
100% in-office position
Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
This role requires consistent availability during business hours to support clients, crews, and active projects
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Managing Partner
Works collaboratively with foremen and field crews in a coordination capacity
While not a field management role, scheduling input and operational decisions are highly valued and relied upon
Key Responsibilities:
Client & Front-Office Operations
Answer incoming phone calls and emails from clients, vendors, and partners
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
Schedule estimates and site visits
Create, send, and manage proposals and related documentation
Communicate schedules, timelines, and project updates clearly and professionally
Project Scheduling & Coordination
Manage scheduling for all upcoming projects, with projects starting and ending daily
Coordinate project timelines across multiple crews
Schedule and order materials for upcoming and active projects
Adjust schedules as needed due to weather, material availability, or project changes
Work closely with foremen and ownership to keep projects moving efficiently
Authority & Decision-Making
Authorized to commit to project schedules
Authorized to place material orders independently once confident in the role
Highly empowered to resolve client issues without escalation when appropriate
Foremen and Managing Partner are available for escalation when necessary
Administrative & Operational Support
Maintain accurate project records and internal documentation
Track project status, schedules, and materials using spreadsheets and documents
Support internal coordination between office staff, ownership, and field teams
Identify opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Excel and Word
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Calm, professional, and solutions-oriented with clients and coworkers
Preferred / Bonus Experience
Experience in construction, trades, or a project-based business
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online
Prior experience in operations, scheduling, or coordination roles
Training & Expectations
This is a specialized role unique to Northern Nevada Hardwood Floors.
2–3 month paid training period
Work directly alongside the existing Operations Manager
Hands-on training in NNHF systems, workflows, scheduling, proposals, and material coordination
After training, the expectation is independent management of day-to-day operations
Full mastery of the role develops over time, with continued support from ownership and office staff
Growth & Culture
This is the highest operational role at NNHF; however, we are a small, close-knit team
There are ongoing opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation growth over time

Compensation & Benefits
Starting salary: $55,000 - $60,000
Paid weekly
Unlimited PTO
Paid Holidays Include:
- Memorial Day

- Christmas Eve through New Year's Day
