    Pediatric Transplant Hepatologist Opportunity

    Job Description


    The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is seeking a highly skilled pediatric transplant hepatologist to join our team as an academic faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.


    Required Skills and Qualifications:



    • Clinical Expertise: Board certification/board eligibility in pediatric transplant hepatology is required. 

    • Scholarly Activity: A strong commitment to research and scholarly activity is expected, 

    • Teaching Experience: Experience teaching residents, fellows, and medical students is essential for this role, 

    • Patient Care: Strong communication skills with patients and families are necessary,  and
    ,
    The position requires working closely with multidisciplinary teams including nurses practitioners, dietitians,
    -social workers. You will be engaged in liver transplantation clinic activities,
    -patient outreach which may involve travel (e.g., El Paso). Weekend call availability
    -night call requirement included. Must possess excellent public speaking skills.
    -be proficient in electronic health records –
    a thorough understanding of grant writing/fundraising experience beneficial but not required.You will have opportunity mentor/train junior staff.
