Environmental Planner Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Planner to join our team at Keish Environmental, PC. This role will involve working with our clients in government and private industries to oversee environmental compliance on projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental sciences, civil engineering, or a related field, and experience in complex project management. They will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, providing technical assistance, and coordinating with stakeholders.

The position is an AS-NEEDED, ON-CALL basis in a HYBRID setting, with occasional travel required. The salary range is $100K-$150K annually, and benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid holidays, and flexible work hours.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Perform environmental impact analyses and prepare relevant documents
• Provide technical assistance and manage projects
• Coordinate with stakeholders and conduct site visits
• Review and analyze data, including stormwater quality and environmental compliance reports
• Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental planning and project management
• CGP Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD)
• Strong knowledge of US federal and California state environmental policies and regulations
• Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
• Background checks required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in environmental science or civil engineering
• Experience with California Stormwater Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS)
• Knowledge of California State Water Board permitting process and water quality techniques
• Ability to adaptively manage project and schedule changes
