    We are seeking a Relief Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Toppenish Medical Dental Clinic in Toppenish, WA. As part of Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, we value inclusivity and believe in making a difference beyond medical care.

    Our Organization

    We have transformed into a leading community health center, with 40+ clinics across Washington and Oregon. Our services include medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health. We also offer holistic support for shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.

    Position Highlights

    • We offer competitive pay with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates.
    • Schedule: As needed, between 7:30 am - 6:30 pm.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Enter patient data in the system, including name, insurance, allergies, doctor, and diagnosis.
    • Fills or dispenses product from the pharmacy stock and delivers to patients.
    • Processes prescription refills, verifying availability.
    • Maintain awareness of stock levels and enter orders for restocking based on defined minimum inventory levels.
    • Verify product orders received, place stickers on items, and store them on shelves.
    • Monitor expiration dates on drugs in stock and prepare expired stock for return to wholesalers.
    • Return or discard dispensed prescriptions to stock if not picked up by patients within 30 days.
    • Complete third-party billing forms and contact providers for prior authorization if required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
    • One year's experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
    • Pharmacy Technician license for states of practice.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
    • Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Ability to perform administrative tasks and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
