- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through regular communication, including face-to-face meetings, calls, and emails. Act as the primary point of contact to address customer needs, inquiries, and concerns.
- Identify new sales opportunities within the assigned region, expanding the customer base and promoting WMC's product offerings. Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and commercial KPIs, including revenue, shipment goals, and profitability.
- Prepare and present sales reports to the Sales & Engineering Manager, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with WMC's ESM divisions, including inside and outside sales representatives, to align sales efforts, share insights, and achieve revenue and shipment goals.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain strategic commercial relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships. Proactively address customer challenges and offer solutions aligned with company capabilities and goals.
- Develop and execute regional sales plans and forecasts based on market analysis, customer needs, and historical sales data. Adjust strategies as needed to achieve sales objectives.
- Travel regularly to meet customers in person, strengthen relationships, and gain firsthand insight into customer requirements and expectations. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Stay updated on WMC's product offerings, technical specifications, and industry standards. Provide product training and support to customers, ensuring they understand product value and applications.
- Lead contract negotiations with customers, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the client while adhering to company guidelines and policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of sales or detailing experience in the metals industry.
- Commercial experience in Structural Mesh or Rebar marketplace.
- Sales or leadership experience in steel or related industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, customer service, phone handling, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid business acumen and judgment.
- Sales-driven mindset, self-starter, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- To be able to travel throughout the country, 60+% of work week.
- Residing in in Southeast Region or be willing to relocate.
