- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for the organization
- Support reporting functions, including assisting in preparation of financial, operational, or ad-hoc reports
- Perform reconciliations of accounts and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Prepare documentation and schedules for audits, reviews, taxes
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Serve as backup for AP, AR, or other departmental tasks
- Assistance with special or recurring administrative projects
- Experience with a professional services firm required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; intermediate Excel skills required
- Experience with Deltek Maconomy or similar ERP a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or related degree/course work)
- 2-3 years of accounting experience in a professional services company
