    Adecco Permanent Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of its client in Greensboro, NC. As Electrical Engineer (Sustaining) you are responsible for leading, designing, developing, and implementing electrical engineering solutions for our client's product line. You will participate in Sustaining Engineering projects relating to CDT&R, EOL regulatory approvals, product development and enhancement in support of client's NA Engineering team.

    You will

    • Develop, test, and implement PCB assemblies in accordance with design specifications, functional requirements and regulatory requirements.
    • Support field trials by installing, testing, and troubleshooting electronic hardware (PCBs, Power Supplies, Cable Assemblies, Displays, Keypads, Encoders) at customer sites.
    • Perform electronic hardware testing, validation, reliability analysis and create test plans to minimize risk and achieve a high level of quality assurance.
    • Support, maintain, and document electronic hardware functionality, requirements, CAD data, drawings, bills of material and customer manuals.
    • Understand and create responses to regulatory compliance including hardware changes, enhancements, and new components for regulatory requirements in the United States (UL), Canada (ULc & CSA), Mexico (DGM) and other global regulatory agencies (TUV).
    • Define clear product and solution specifications, drive gap analysis and estimation of work content.
    • Analyze areas of design risk, develop mitigation plan and communicate risk analysis to stakeholders.
    • Creation and implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
    • Successfully leads projects with a project schedule, resources, communication, and risk management.
    • Conduct design and architecture reviews on complex projects.
    • Capable of providing coaching and guidance to less experienced team members.

    You have

    • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or closely related field with a minimum of 3 to 7 years' experience in electronic hardware and system development.
    • Solid experience in product development processes, including design and project definition, development, testing, software and system integration, release, post release support and cross-functional team interaction.
    • Knowledge of electronic components such as PCBs, Power Supplies, Cable Assemblies, Displays, Keypads and Encoders.
    • Problem solving, root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Preferred: Design and development of printed circuit board assemblies and knowledge of FPGA & CPLD; and knowledge of serial and networking communication technologies and circuit designs (RS485, RS232, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, DSL, 802.11, etc.)
