Baker's Pride is a wholesale bakery renowned for providing high-quality baked goods throughout the Saint Louis area. We are committed to excellence, reliability, and maintaining the freshness of our products during delivery.
Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Contract Overnight Delivery Driver who owns a van, cargo van, or similar vehicle. This contractor will ensure timely and efficient delivery of baked goods to our business-to-business customers within the Saint Louis metro area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up bakery products nightly from our facility.
- Load and unload products carefully to prevent damage.
- Ensure timely overnight deliveries to customers based on predetermined routes.
- Verify order accuracy and obtain necessary signatures from customers.
- Maintain clear communication with the bakery for updates or any issues encountered during routes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of personal vehicle, adhering to food safety standards.
Requirements:
- Must provide and maintain your own reliable van, cargo van, or similar vehicle.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Proof of vehicle insurance.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent punctuality and dependability.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently overnight.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous delivery or logistics experience, particularly overnight.
- Knowledge of Saint Louis area streets and traffic patterns.
- Experience handling food or bakery products.
Compensation: Competitive per-route or nightly rate based on experience and route complexity. Details to be discussed during the interview process.
Pay: $ $200.00 per day
