- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors affecting their daily functioning.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each client, taking into account their unique circumstances and challenges.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide occupational therapy services including but not limited to therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, mobility training, and sensory integration therapy.
- Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, speech therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and achieve holistic treatment goals.
- Education: Educate clients, their families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and home exercise programs to facilitate continued progress.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant state and federal regulations, professional standards, and best practices in occupational therapy.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in a schoolsetting preferred, but required.
