    Job Description

    We are looking for a skilled and reliable general laborer to join our team. As a member of our company, you will assist contractors, operate heavy machinery, and ensure compliance with all site health and safety guidelines. A strong dedication to work and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for this role.

    Responsibilities of a General Laborer

    • Unloading tools, preparing construction materials, setting up equipment, and stacking building materials
    • Following project instructions from supervisors or construction managers
    • Reviewing construction plans and specifications
    • Safely directing traffic at construction or road maintenance sites
    • Utilizing various construction tools and equipment according to daily task requirements
    • Adhering to health and safety protocols while operating machinery
    • Ensuring the appropriate use of safety gear such as headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing
    • Executing assigned tasks efficiently and within specified timelines
    • Assisting in the assembly of scaffolding and temporary structures
    • Proficiently operating tools like pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, and blowtorches
    • Preparing new construction sites through excavation, earthmoving, or compaction
    • Providing support to other contractors, such as electricians, painters, or craftsmen, as necessary
    • Clearing debris and hazardous materials from work areas
    • Maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of construction equipment and tools

    Qualifications for General Labor Position

    • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or apprenticeships is advantageous
    • Preferred state licensing for handling hazardous materials, although not mandatory; union certification is a plus
    • Minimum age requirement of 18 years
    • Capability to perform physical tasks like standing, bending, squatting, and lifting objects weighing up to 40 pounds
    • Comfort with working at heights, including climbing tall ladders and operating at elevated levels
    • Positive mindset and strong work ethic
    • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team environment
    • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with various management levels
    • Proficiency in English and Spanish languages is beneficial
