A reputable educational organization in Atlanta, GA is seeking a skilled professional to serve as a School Psychologist supporting student success and well-being across multiple school sites.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply psychological expertise in diverse educational settings while engaging in some travel within the region.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students learning needs and challenges
Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
Provide counseling services and crisis support to students requiring emotional and behavioral assistance
Analyze data to monitor student progress and recommend appropriate adjustments to individualized education plans (IEPs)
Facilitate and participate in team meetings, including multidisciplinary evaluations and case reviews
Advocate for mental health awareness and promote positive school climate initiatives
Qualifications And Desired Experience
Valid credential as a certified or licensed school psychologist
Strong knowledge of psychological testing, evaluation methods, and educational laws relevant to special education
Experience working within school environments or related educational settings
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups
Willingness and ability to travel to various schools within the Atlanta area
Location:
Atlanta, Georgia, with travel to surrounding school sites as part of job duties
