    Description

    Under supervision performs duties for a variety of Human Resource Management programs and provides assistance to program activities. Performs data collection and analysis for salary and benefit administration, salary, benefit and classification programs, compensation and benefit program design, assists in the development of policies and programs, and supports special projects. Applies analytical and professional expertise to multiple personnel disciplines. Assesses training/development needs. Assists in assessing needs and develops position analysis instruments and materials. Conducts research on various personnel matters and compiles data, citing sources used Analyzes data or information to produce reports and other documents. Conducts special projects with significant impact on agency's personnel activities. Initiates or conducts research on various personnel issues. Observes, interviews, and surveys employees and may conduct focus group meetings to collect position, organizational, and occupational information. Researches and prepares occupational classifications, position descriptions, salary scales and competency appraisal measures and systems. Serves as a technical expert in area of specialty.. Assists in the development and revision of payroll policies and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.. Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas

    Preferred Qualification

    • Familiar with PeopleSoft, Georgia Breeze, State Health Benefits Plan, and the Employees' Retirement System
    • Ability to complete and process employment verification for State Health Benefits.

    Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND One year of experience performing personnel-related functions OR High school diploma or GED AND Three years of experience performing human resources related functions OR One year of experience required at the lower level HR Tech 3 (HRT012) or position equivalent.
